Matt brings a scientific, evidence-based approach to investing that he has honed for over 16 years as an investment advisor and financial planner. He enjoys helping clients work strategically toward achieving long-term financial goals, and his philosophy is grounded in foundational principles including Modern Portfolio Theory, the Efficient Market Hypothesis, and the Fama-French Three-Factor Model.

Inspired by his father’s career in finance, Matt knew from an early age that he wanted to help others achieve financial freedom. He values transparency, discipline, and long-term thinking – qualities that continue to shape his approach to wealth management.

A Charleston, South Carolina native, Matt is active in his community and has served as president of both the Rotary and Exchange Clubs. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Kristy, and their beagle, Quinn. He is an avid sports enthusiast and regularly trains for and competes in endurance events.

Joe is driven by a simple belief: the best financial outcomes are achieved through truthful education, bold thinking, and confident action. He joined the Waypoint Team in 2018 and brings over two decades of experience delivering financial education and helping clients realize results beyond what they thought possible.

Joe focuses on helping key employees and business owners reach their full financial potential, with a long-standing commitment to building meaningful, long-term relationships. His work has been especially impactful in the pharmacy community, where he has championed financial literacy and education across the country through hundreds of speaking engagements.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Joe is also a cancer survivor, an Eagle Scout, and a lifelong music enthusiast. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling the world and dreams of one day opening a bar in the Caribbean. Joe lives in Texas with his wife, Robin – a talented baker – and their son, Dylan. He currently serves as President of his son’s Elementary Dads Club and remains active in his community.
