Join an advisory board and expand your influence

Maximize your leadership potential
We work directly with executives, entrepreneurs, and industry specialists to understand their background and the type of impact they want to make. From there, we identify organizations with clearly defined strategic needs and match them with board members whose knowledge is most relevant.
Every introduction is intentional, focusing on alignment in skill sets, stage of business, and opportunity fit, so both board members and organizations are positioned to create value right away.
Benefits of serving on an advisory board
Add board experience that builds credibility and opens doors to senior leadership roles.
Work alongside senior executives and build relationships that generate real opportunities, partnerships, and referrals.
Apply your expertise to substantive business challenges, gain exposure to new industries, and stay sharp outside your primary focus.
Weigh in on decisions that shape where a company goes. Your experience has real influence.
No fiduciary duty. No heavy time burden. You stay involved at the level that works for you.
Many roles include stipends, equity, and earnings tied to referrals and introductions.

Jared
Rand
Jared has over 30 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate their financial lives with clarity and confidence. He built his practice around a strong commitment to fiduciary responsibility, accountability, and client-first decision making—which is why he founded Capital Portfolio Management.
He takes a highly personal approach to wealth management, grounded in the belief that what he recommends to clients should reflect what he would do for himself and his own family. He invests alongside his clients using the same strategies and solutions, giving him firsthand insight into performance and reinforcing his commitment to shared outcomes. At the core of his philosophy is a focus on managing risk, which he views as the most important role he plays as an advisor—helping clients navigate changing markets while staying aligned with their long-term goals. Recognizing that no two clients are the same, he develops personalized strategies tailored to each individual’s needs, priorities, and circumstances.
In early 2025, he made the decision to partner with Farther to leverage its intelligent wealth platform and bring enhanced tools, deeper insights, and more customized strategies to current and future clients. In 2026, he joined the Focus Team to expand his retirement planning capabilities and work with experienced advisors, further deepening the insights he brings to those he serves.
Jared has been married for 34 years and has three grown children. He stays active in his community by officiating high school football and soccer at a small parochial school in Topeka and enjoys spending time with his family in Colorado.
