Zina earned her undergraduate degree in Journalism with Honors from Indiana University, focusing on sports writing. As a freelance personal finance writer, she earned three Plutus Award nominations and has been a three-time speaker at FinCon. She also shares her expertise as a financial wellness speaker for organizations including CreativeMornings, the Broward County Library, and ScholarCon.

A native of Ukraine, Zina lives in Indianapolis with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys attending Pacers games, running on the Pennsy, and volunteering as a community support leader and peer navigator for FORCE, a non-profit supporting those with genetic cancer predispositions.
