Art is a seasoned financial professional with more than three decades of experience across advisory, leadership, and investment management roles. He began his career as a financial advisor in 1987 and went on to serve in senior positions at First Tennessee Bank, John Hancock Financial Services, and SS&C Technologies. After years of building and leading investment teams, Art returned to his advisory roots, most recently serving as an Investment Advisor at Carmichael Creel Investments.
Art brings a pragmatic, client-centered approach to wealth management. With experience spanning individual investors, financial advisors, and 401(k) participants, he is skilled at translating complex financial objectives into simple, actionable strategies. He is guided by Einstein’s maxim: “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.”
Art is based in Franklin, Tennessee, with his wife Heather. They have three adult children and two English bulldogs. Outside of work, Art enjoys travel, golf, reading, and cheering on the Tennessee Titans.
Heather brings a dynamic background in sales, marketing, event planning, and community engagement to the Creel Wealth Planning Team. She began her career in marketing with AT&T (formerly BellSouth) in Nashville and has since served in a variety of leadership and board positions across both Tennessee and Massachusetts – demonstrating a long-standing commitment to service and connection.
Heather and her husband, Art, have three adult children and live in Franklin, Tennessee, with their beloved English bulldogs. Outside of work, Heather enjoys traveling, playing tennis, celebrating all things Disney and Christmas, and cheering on the Tennessee Titans.
Over the past 15 years, Daniel has helped business owners, entrepreneurs, and families realize their financial aspirations through goals-based planning. This comprehensive approach and coordination of all assets brings clarity and confidence to financial decisions: each client has a unique situation, and Daniel’s tailored approach is vital to achieving their goals.
Daniel is a former Systems Engineer and Product Manager at AOL, and he transferred those skills to assist clients with financial planning. A current doctoral candidate at the University of South Florida, Daniel’s research is focused on uncovering the inhibitors and motivations for planning.
Daniel is an Advisory Board Member of GrowFL and the University of North Florida, as well as an alumni of Leadership Jacksonville and 40 Under 40. Daniel and his wife, Carol Dobbs, live in Atlantic Beach with their two children, Kennedy Grace and Wilder James. Daniel enjoys all outdoor activities – whether it includes golf, the ocean, the top of Mt. Rainier, or braving tent camping with a 2-year-old.

Alex has more than 10 years in Investment committee leadership and portfolio management. He currently sits on the Board of Governors for Cranbrook Schools, where he acts as the chair of the Investment Committee for a $500M endowment.
Alex’s primary focus is high level investment strategy on behalf of the client in conjunction with mission, goals and risk parameters. As a CFA, he is a specialist in balancing portfolio allocation and optimizing investments. Alex led the investment team at GLP Financial Group and Investments for over 10 years, rising to the role of Chief Investment Officer. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan with a degree in Biochemistry.
Ashton Hayes is a dedicated legal professional with experience in tax law, property disputes, and probate matters. With a client-first approach, she prioritizes clear communication, thorough research, and strategic problem-solving to deliver effective legal solutions. Ashton is committed to navigating complex legal challenges with diligence and integrity, always advocating for her clients’ best interests.
She earned her J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from The University of Alabama School of Law, following a summa cum laude BA in Criminal Justice and Political Science. Through roles at Dentons Sirote, Alabama Legal Services, the Dallas County Probate Court, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, Ashton has gained hands-on experience in tax controversies, housing disputes, and estate planning. Whether drafting intricate legal memoranda or negotiating with IRS attorneys, she has developed a well-rounded understanding of litigation and client advocacy.
Currently based in Rowlett, Texas, Ashton enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Otis. Outside of work, she finds joy in hiking, gardening, and traveling to new destinations.
With two decades of client-facing experience, including seven years in the financial industry, Margaret is committed to building strong relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
Prior to joining Farther, Margaret spent 4.5 years working with high-net-worth clients at TD Ameritrade and Schwab. She is currently pursuing a degree in Finance at Franklin University.
